TISC centre is established in Ibra College of Technology to give support and awareness to all innovators in the process of how to register their researches and patents, searching in the World International Patent Origination (WIPO) databases, and help the innovators to connect with other innovators and researcher’s organizations.

TISC is under the supervision of Ministry of Manpower (MoM) and The Research Council (Research Centre Department).

Goals of ICT TISC

ICT-TISC center should be close to the users, The Research Council (TRC) started a project to establish TISC in every educational institutions across Oma. The TISC role is to:

  • guide and assist the researchers to file his/her invention and research.
  • provide awareness and training in how to benefit from international IP databases.
  • help users to create, protect, own and manage their intellectual property rights.
  • to strengthen the local technological base.
