Staff Development Committee of IT Department organized a seminar on “Project based learning”.

The speaker was Mr. Mohammed Tauqeer Ullah / IT Staff. The purpose of this program is to introduced the staff to a student centered learning teaching methodology called as “Project Based Learning”.

Project Based Learning is a systematic teaching method which engages students in acquiring knowledge and skills through an extended inquiry process structured around complex, relevant questions, carefully designed products, and authentic tasks. The presentation covered following points:

• The Eight Essential Project Design Elements
• Five Activities to Use Project-Based Learning in Computer Science
• Sample PBL Projects

All IT department staff were the audience. This talk was more informative and useful to their teaching practices.
