The Peer Tutoring Program was created to assist the students in their academic struggles.
English Society has implemented the Peer Tutoring Program in which students who excel in the class are tapped by their teachers to assist their fellow students in any of the skills mentioned. The basis of the conduct of the Peer Tutoring Program is stipulated in the Operational Plan of the English Language Center. Specifically, it states in Goal 1 Strategy 1.2.9 regarding the identification of students at risk and provision of remedial support. Furthermore, the Policy Handbook encourages the implementation of the program by virtue of the Student Learning Support Policy (3.3).
Overall, it has been reported that the program produced positive outcomes with regards to students’ marks.
