The Engineering Department Health, Safety and Environment Committee inducted their newly joined staff members last on 22nd March 2022 from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM at EE 101.

It started with a welcome address given by Mr. Vineeth V V, the Coordinator of EDHSEC.

The resource person was Mr. Vicknesh, the Co-Chairman of HSEC, UTAS –Ibra. He started by giving awareness to new members on the different activities of the Health, Safety, and Environment Committee in the Department and the College. It gave the new members the idea of how important is the role of the EDHSEC in the workplace/laboratories/workshops and especially during the pandemic.

Mr. Vicknesh's discussion includes the following:

• Health and Safety Policy
• Action Plan AY2021-22
• Health, safety, and Environment Committee and Team Members
• First Aid Kits
• Evacuation during Emergency and
• Procedure to use Fire Extinguisher

The activity not only enriched them with the health and safety protocols of the college but also welcomed them into their new role as implementers of HSE practices.
