Indian School Ibra Students Visit UTAS Ibra

The leading technical university UTAS has a broad vision on severing technological and educational support for the community development and reinforcing the student’s education with the engagement of technical institutions.

University Technical and Applied Science-Ibra (UTAS) Engineering department and Marketing Committee had organized a technical exploration platform for Indian School Ibra (ISI) students on 6th and 8th June 2022. In collaboration with the UTAS Marketing committee, the engineering department had exponentially provided the fundamental technical study on engineering field for the Indian School Ibra student. Theme behind the program was to establish the technologies and concrete its knowledge and application.

UTAS-Ibra has a confined mission on community development and awareness on technical education. A sum of 76 senior secondary students had visited UTAS Engineering labs like Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Architecture specialization. The school student’s visit had expanded for two days in order to advocate the merits of engineering specialization. The description and requirement of the lab visit was to promote the technical advancement and to highlight to innumerable success of projects of the engineering department.

At the start of the engineering lab visit, Dr. Fatma Nasser Al-Harthy, Assistant Dean of Student affairs and marketing committee chair has graced the student’s gathering and enlightened them about the significance of UTAS-Ibra. The content of the speech had diverged into different branches of the department and the information had accelerated the visits. Followed by the speech of Assistant Dean of students affairs, the Engineering council headed by Dr. Sami Al Ghnimi and members of Dr. Shamganth- HoS of Electrical Engineering and Dr. Saravanan Katherivel- HoS of Mechanical Engineering have emphasized the divergence of Engineering field and guided and motivated the significance of the visit.

The students of ISI were taken to various labs of Engineering and advertised the affirmative conglomeration of technology. The senior secondary students of Indian School were encouraged to have a viable and diverse source of information specific to Renewable Energy, Robotics, CNC workshop, Machine and thermal lab and Architectural studio.
