The Department of Business Studies at UTAS-Ibra regularly organizes activities to enhance the learning experience for students. One such event, in the format of a guest lecture, took place for students studying the Auditing course at both the Diploma and Bachelor levels on November 14, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in BS 102.

The event featured two guest speakers from Crowe Oman, Mr. Jim Joseph Itty and Mr. Salam Yaqub Sheikh. They discussed topics such as risk assessment, steps in conducting an audit, qualifications for different audit types, and future job prospects in the field. They also shared information about internship programs offered by their audit firm.

The program commenced with a welcome note from Bachelor-level student Mr. Majid Al-Saifi, followed by speaker introductions by Ms. Muzna Al-Mamari. The closing remarks were delivered by Ms. Zainab Al Jahdhami. The event was well-attended by staff members from the accounting and finance section, as well as 30 students from the department. Dr. Habiba Al-Mughairi, Head of the Department of Business Studies, extended felicitations to the speakers.
