CPMS, CDRF and Presentation of Stakeholder’s Feedback on Skills Gap

(Staff Development Committee) Stakeholders’ feedback on skills gap, CPMS and CDRF are vital to the development and design of student-centered learning curriculum.

Thus, ICRC in collaboration with the Staff Development Committee of the Business Department organized an awareness session on November 2, 2023, at 1:30 PM in BS112.

Dr. Edukondala Rao Jetti, lecturer, delivered a presentation on curriculum mapping specifying content, methodology and assessment, the inputs required from lecturers and the curriculum development and review cycle. He presented the following feedback, first, the results of the Exam Wrapper for semester 1 and 2 of academic year 2022-2023 discussing students’ feedback on which part of exam was most difficult for them, second, the graduation day report on the effectiveness of teaching and learning methods and lastly, the DeSOT 2023 Technical Skills Gap Identification for HRM and Accounting specialization.

Dr. Rao provided suggestions to address the gaps identified to meet the changing demands of industry. He highlighted the importance of the Curriculum Development and Review Framework in providing a procedure for the University of Technology and Applied Science (UTAS) to evaluate the current curriculum and ensure continued quality and relevant course offerings.

The session ended with a note on the responsibilities of the different stakeholders at each level of the academic community to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
