Lecture on Research Opportunities for IT Staff

On February 20th, 2024, the IT department at University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Ibra hosted a guest lecture by Dr. Thuraya Khalifa Salim Al-Riyami, Deputy of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research and Innovation held in IT302 at 12:15 PM.

The lecture explored the significance of research and shed light on URG and RG programs and specifically elaborated the advantage for IT staff members.

Dr. Thuraya engaging presentation not only informed attendees about the available research opportunities but also served as a powerful motivator. Her passion for research and belief in its importance resonated with the audience, encouraging them to explore new avenues of inquiry and development within their field.

The event attracted around 30 enthusiastic IT staff members who actively participated in the session. Their positive feedback highlighted the lecture's success in generating interest and enthusiasm for research pursuits as staff members feel empowered and equipped to engage in meaningful research projects.

With a newfound understanding of URG and RG programs, coupled with the motivation instilled by the presentation, the department is poised to witness a surge in research activity and innovation. This will not only benefit the individual researchers but also contribute to the advancement of the IT field as a whole.
